Summertime Winding Down

The Revamp Hiatus is over. There is still some updating that needs to be done here and there, but the site is pretty much set and ready to go. With summertime drawing to a close and the new school term in session, things are going to get pretty active around here (I hope)! Time to start writing emails, calling and visiting friends and throwing parties! We’re back in full swing so get out there and plot, post and have fun!

There's A Killer on the Loose!
The killings have begun! As if things haven't gotten complicated enough in this small city, Crimson Kiss has its very own psychopathic serial killer. He's got a reputation to uphold now that he's in a new city with fresh flesh to carve into. No one is safe, but no one is certainly above the law. A bit of advice? Never EVER wander the streets alone...

The month of July has yielded to many changes! We've got brand knew forum image headers, a new upgrade for the Proboards forum as a whole, and welcoming back not only old players, but new ones as well! The old characters are back, in action, and ready to stir up some trouble. But there are new faces as well! Staff has been switched around, changed hands, and we are looking forward to a new RP experience with all of you! So, again, WELCOME BACK!

• FOUR NEW SKINS have been added for your viewing pleasure. Two character/group themed skins, NOIR and THE Breakfast Club, as well as two off world RP's - Dodge City and Stratham Asylum! Skins were created by Kia and Sev to help usher in the new revamp of the site!
  

• CKH is now introducing Custom Character Profiles (CCPs)! Characters get their very own, unique to them, sub-board where you, the player, can have that character moderate the board. That means you can modify your current profile that was previously locked, add in a shipper/plot/CR page for other players to reply to, as well as give us the skinny on your character with secrets and journal/diary entries! Apply for a CCP HERE.

• MEMBER PROFILES - Each player has their own Member Profile sub-board in the About Me section of the OOC Forum. Here you can place your own personal profile about you, the writer, as well as thread trackers to keep up with all those threads and posts that you are working on! Be sure to post up your absence thread, titling it "REGARDING YOURNAMEORALIASHERE" so we can keep track of your activity. If you need to be placed on Leave of Absence (LOA), or will be less active during the week for reasons, be sure to post here so we don't freak out and worry about where you are.

We just knew you would be dying to find out who this month’s MOTM was. However, as a special addition welcome back to Crimson Kiss High & University, we are happy to announce not only one, but TWO MOTMs! This month's winners are Tillie Anderson & Ranulf Varun. From Editor in Chief: Tillie and Ranulf have come back to the site full force, engaging in different threads with different characters. However, the reason why we chose these two is the amazing character interactions between them - as both of them took a tragedy and managed to transform it into something wonderful. It is clear that these two will heavily rely on the other for days to come. Our many congratulations to Tillie and Ran!

Tillie Anderson

All the Problems Make Me Wanna Go

Tillie smiled softly, laughing fully at herself as she shook her head. With graceful motions that only came to her when she was dancing in some way, Tillie lifted up on her toes so that fingers could brush away the stubborn fall of hair that wanted to rest against his forehead. Tillie could relate to the desire of close proximity. “Ran,” She began softly as she lowered back onto her heels. “I want to do whatever you want to do.”

Fingers trailed the edge of his jaw line before falling away as a blush began to slowly creep over her features, eyes falling down to study movements as her hands brushed over his shoulders. “If you want to go back to the hospital, we can go back. If you want to walk around all night long we can do that too.” Green and blue emerald hues lifted back up at him. “We do not have to go to a carnival. I want to do whatever you want to do. “

Tillie raised his hand up to her mouth and planted a swift kiss against his knuckles before stepping away, his opposite hand snatched up in her own so that they were now double connected. “And I want you to ask me your question. Anything you want to ask is important to me.”


WHY: So much activity has happened in this thread, but the post that stood out the most this week is this simple confirmation of feelings from Tillie to her friend, Ran. While it may have taken the entirety of the thread for such feelings to finally surface, it doesn't change the fact that Tillie has responded in a way that is quintessentially Tillie. We are all looking forward to future developments with these characters, but will be saddened when this thread finally comes to an end. Congratulations Tillie!

Like the furnace in the far distance shoveling a fiery light. There was a tall piece of metal nearby it that looked like a fireplace shovel but she wasn't for certain. Then there were cement columns in various sections that were holding up the property. "I must be in a basement." She thought to herself. Was someone there? If she screamed would someone hear her? She had watched enough movies to know better than that. If her mouth wasn't covered or something, and she could scream, someone obviously wouldn't be able to hear her. - Deanna

He was cutting some Gorgonzola for a meal he was preparing. That's when he heard her. She was awake. Screaming for help. A sly smile curved his mouth and the butchers knife in his hand was gently laid onto the cutting board. Hands were moved under the water of the sink after he turned it on, washing the cheese smell from his hands before he would head down there. He chuckled slightly as her screams revealed her alertness. What a prize. - Jeremiah

He towered over her, and when he started to smooth his hand over her face she turned her head to the side, itching to avoid him touching her. "You'll never get away with this." She started through fear and tears. "Someone will find out what you're doing." Would they? Was she his first? Would she be his last?

She had a feeling the answer to the question was no. - Deanna

He rolled his eyes and grabbed his saw again, the lower portions of her legs just to his side. Blood everywhere. On him. Draining. On the cement. It was a beautiful sight.

Her arms. Now her chest failed to continue moving. The rest of her leg at the hip so only neck and torso where connected. It was when he came to the head did he grab the bucket. Standing, hands gripping her lovely bloody blond hair and dropping it recklessly into the bucket. He was to transfer each piece with no blood trail from the drain area to the furnace. - Jeremiah

[/b] After reading those little excerpts and you still haven't gone to read the thread? Shame on you. If not, shouldn't those snippets have been enough?  It was enough for us from the CK Journal to determine that this is the perfect start to launch the murder board-wide plot for all the members to become involved in.[/ul]

• CKH CALENDAR - As you may have noticed, we have placed a calendar on the right side of the sidebar located beneath the chatbox. All updates regarding the current season, as well as snippets of the current boad-wide plot care placed here. The current season is Autumn, the months spanning through July to September. All new threads that are made should have all the pertinent information, as mentioned here. Please keep this in mind for all future threads made.

• MONEY - Have you all noticed the money listed in your characters' mini profiles? Well, this is to be used later in the future to be spent on a store that staff is putting together for your enjoyment. This is to encourage our players to post often so that they can purchase things in the store we are creating. Once it is completed, we shall let you know. Feel free to peruse our wares! 

• MEMBER PROFILES - Each player has their own Member Profile sub-board in the About Me section of the OOC Forum. Ran’s profile was booted out of her subconscious as a pillow was thrown from across the room, the deceptively rough material knocking her in the back of her head and startling her. With an outcry, Tillie flopped forward off her chair, landing with a dainty thud onto the plush carpeting. Scrambling to an upright position, her face turned toward her bed, mouth open in sullen outrage, and eyes wide with surprise.

Three faces glared at her, three of her favorite faces. Evey delivered a lady-like scoff before turning her attention back onto the layout Aubrey had orchestrated of the Geneva Lakehouse belonging to her and Chuck, well apparently just her now, which she was most unhappy about. Audrynna threw her a grin. A delicate quirk of the corner of her mouth, her eyes all knowing, seemingly piercing through Tillie’s skin, digging into the root of her thoughts. Exposing her, flaying her naked. Tillie shivered slightly as Audrynna lazily moved her gaze back to the layout.

It was Aubrey that remained firm in her glaring, another pillow armed and ready in her hands. Tillie, we are all very excited that you enjoyed dragging Ran all over Downtown, but if you don’t stop sighing like a pregnant dog I will throw you out the window.

Ran stood outside of the studio door, Evey at his side and doing his best to ignore the incessant tugging she was doing to the sleeve of his shirt. He continued to shake his head, still not able to believe that he was standing outside of this particular room at this particular building at this particular time. Again, he felt the tug at his sleeve and, again, he shook his head.

"Hell no."

This was all Kia's fault. Every single bit of it.

Originally, Kia was the one who Evey wanted to take to the Sports Complex over at the University that weekend. However, Kia had a last minute thing she had to take care of with her brother. It was something that she hadn't been too keen on, but apparently Yoshida had something on Kia that she couldn't ignore. He didn't have to be a genius to figure that out with the ugly expression on her face during the phone call she'd gotten. She had called Evey and told her that she would not be able to help her, but volunteered Ran instead.

He'd been eating his breakfast that morning and finally asked what was going on when he'd felt the milk dribbling from his chin. His mouth had been hanging open. 'No big deal' she said, he thought, his hand gripping onto the strap that was hanging from his shoulder. 'You're only going to help carry some stuff for her' she said. Yeah...right.

All the Problems Make Me Wanna Go

Ran knew that what she was saying was true. He couldn't explain why this feeling of contentment washed over him while he was with Tillie, but it was there. Ran knew that he felt the same comfort with Kia, but it was on a completely different level. His feelings for her had to have been platonic and he had been told numerous times by his cousin, Kodi, that they were just best friends. Nothing more. In fact, hadn't he had a bit of a grimace on his face when he'd mentioned someone by the name of "Shaden Grace."

"Tills," he began, leaning forward to press his forehead against hers gently. "I want that too..."

“I am terrified that I am never going to feel ever again the way I feel when I’m with you…kiss me and I promise never to leave you alone or lost. Kiss me, right now, and I promise I will always come back to you.”

Taking a firm grip on her dainty hand, Ran quickly pulled her to his person - closing what little distance remained between them. His right arm grasped and held her delicate frame, his hand placed gently on the small of her back; the fingers of his left hand tangled themselves within the soft blonde strands of her hair, caressing them with a loving grip; and it was there he kissed her lips, a part of her softer than angel's breath. There was passion there, so much passion and even a hint of aggression. But it wasn't the type of aggression that claimed her as his own. It was quite the contrary, actually. The aggression he displayed as his lips massaged hers was so thick with feeling and gentleness, love and compassion, it was suffocating.

He wanted her, everything that encompassed Tillie Anderson.

Ran could've stopped, but he chose not to. No... As his left hand slowly slipped to the center of her back, he maintained his assault and continued to take this angel's breath away. It was their time now. A time for them to be happy and to create more memories as they waited for his old ones to return. Until then, he would stop worrying about his past and concentrate on his present. So that he could work on his future - one that he hoped Tillie would be a part of for as long as she would allow.

WHY: Again, this thread has made it one of our OTWs for this week in the Journal. However, the reason it was chosen is simply because Ran's post wrapped up this wonderful thread with a beautiful sense of finality. After having struggled with his own inner self-doubts, Ran was able to come to a sound conclusion - if only for the moment. Now that Tillie and Ran have finally confessed their feelings for one another, solidifying their status as an official couple, we can only hope for good things to come for these two. Congratulations Ran!

Issac couldn’t seem to keep his hands off her breasts, her rear, and occasionally to wind her hair around his hand and yank backwards so her deliciously soft throat were vulnerable to his lips and teeth. His little minx was rather obedient on the stroll over, maybe because she was already aware that she practically belonged to him for tonight. There was no way Issac was going to let her out of his sight for even a second. Not when she had the audacity to challenge him not once, but twice tonight. He smiled a twisted little grin at the thought of having her sob out his name. - Issac

Devon was hungry.

Not the kind of hungry that could be sated with food. No. The kind of hungry that could be sated with sex.

Not just any kind of sex would do. No. She needed to feel something other than the basic motions. She would not stand for anything that strayed toward the basic motions. Devon had felt the touch and lips of many others, but nothing that was lasting and memorable. Nothing that made her yearn for something beyond the bedroom the following morning. Devon grew angry when she thought of all the other fools who had crossed her paths, daring to "rock her world" and failing to even make the ground tremble beneath her feet. - Devon

“Excuse me, but sass is not something wanted or needed here,” Issac bit down hard on her earlobe before he continued. “If I get it again, I will bring you to the brink of this release,” his hand plunged down south again to massage the area he had been moments before. “And leave you there, only to return so often until the sun rises and make sure you’re nice and ready. How do you think a bunch of frat boys would like to come and work off their sleep to see such a nice little present? I can tell you I think they’d like it almost a bit too much.”

Issac’s tone had gone cold. Of course he wasn’t serious about leaving the poor girls fate to the hungry pack of his fraternity brothers, but she didn’t know him, and she didn’t know that. He leaned back, eyes taking in the view of her body held before him. “Now if you’re going to be a good girl, we can continue.” - Issac

"So, think you can rile a girl up and then disappear?" Devon breathed, pushing her hair out of the way. "Just piss me off and think you can walk away? What's wrong? Finally met a match that can push just as hard as you can for a change?" Grabbing him by the back of his neck, she forcibly pulled him down so that her lips were allowed to slam against his in an angry, rough kiss. She pulled on his bottom lip with her own mouth, her teeth digging into the soft flesh until she all but forced his mouth open to slip her tongue deep into the caverns that his mouth hid. Once she'd raked her tongue along the sharp canines of his teeth, Devon pulled back before taking another step forward to push him against the door. She was angry as hell. Issac had done this to her. - Devon

[/b] Nobody, and I mean NOBODY saw this coming! While we have gotten glimpses of these characters and allowed to see sides of them that normally aren't visible to most, it would be hard-pressed to deny that these two earned the spotlight for this week's TOTW. Their raw energy and need to dominate over the other is fully showcased in this thread - their sex drive and sense of erotica pushed to new heights. It is a shame that it ended as quickly as it began, but we certainly look forward to more threads from these two. Congratulations Issac and Devon!

It's Fall Now!

The Revamp Hiatus is over! Everyone should be excited to know that we have now moved on to the Fall season, it is a great pleasure for me to say that all of the new plots going on is a bit of a thrill. Everyone keep on posting and being active and look forward to all the new changes on the board!

• CKH CALENDAR - We are reminding everyone on the board who decides to start new threads to please follow the new calendar guideline as mentioned here. The current time frame for the board is July to September. Please keep this in mind for all future threads made.
• CHARACTERS - Okay, so until further notice, all new characters who are applying to be students at CK University will have to be classed as a Freshman! Also, we are putting a limit on character creations for those who have more than four characters to cut down on overall swell in our registry. If you have a slew of characters who are not being played, it is just a waste, don't you think?
• CK HANDBOOK - The handbook for CKH & CKU has been upgraded! You can read the official new handbook here! Please, as a personal request from staff, we ask that everyone please read all announcements posted both in the CK Journal and in the updates section. Thanks guys!

• MONEY - Have you all noticed the money listed in your characters' mini profiles? Head2Head

Our MOTM winners face off in a Head2Head interview. Luckily our interviewer didn't have to do much since they managed to do all the work themselves!

Ran Varun: "So, uh..." He looks at her, shrugging "...do we just start it, then?" He laughs a little.

Tillie Anderson: She snaps her fingers at Ran and laughs. "You shoot and I'll score."

Ran: He shakes his head and chuckles "Always making me work, huh? All right then!" He pops his knuckles "I'm Ran Varun and this is Tillie Anderson. We're your July Members of the Month, kickass huh?" He looks at her "How's that?"

Tillie: "Ehhh..." She shakes her head back and forth "I suppose it is a decent start. We are lucky they can go in and edit it later to improve the material." She nudges Ran's shoulder "Can we say Ass?"

Ran: He shrugs, shaking his head some "I have no idea. So, Tills, how do you feel about CKH's reboot? What about the things that have happened to you before we all were able to come back?"

Tillie: She laughs nervously "Oh Ran...You do know how to make a girl feel anxious." She takes a deep breath, exhaling to include a raspberry blown in Ran's direction "I really love the new editions we are getting. Everything is so nice and organized and there are a lot of new features that have been added in. I think the love that the Admins have for all of us here on the site is evident and it's an amazing feeling to have so much work done for our characters.... And..." She mock swoons as lids blink rapidly up at Ran "I can't remember anything that happened before you agreed to make the great escape with me." She bats eyelashes 

Ran: He grins, shaking his head as he looks at her

Tillie:  She laughs "No, seriously though. I think that everything ended on a crazy note and left so many things up in the air. A change was virtually unavoidable as everyone came back one by one and the site was reopened. I like the direction it's generally taking. It's fun to see how everyone stays the same and yet evolves as well. I mean look at you...You are apparently a wolf."

Ran: He rolls his eyes, laughing lightly "Yeah? A wolf huh?" -He makes a mock howl sound and nods "I think it's awesome though. I mean, it's cool to be back and interacting with everyone again. I missed it and while the last time we were here I was in the hospital without a single clue as to who I was or what had happened, I still think it's epic! I just wish the whole gang like Shade and them were back. But we'll get by. We're getting new faces left and right I feel like! So...uh..." He flushes a little "Any particular plots and such that you're a part of that you'd like to talk about? Or which ones that are happening on the site that have caught your interest in general?"

Tillie:  She clears throat delicately "Well I am actually really excited about Avery coming back. He is like the missing puzzle piece to the whole Breakfast Club. I mean, realistically, it would not have been right to go on without him. I do miss Shaden, but look at how many people are strolling back in on a regular basis - hopefully he will find his way back toward us." She shyly twists hair around a finger "I can't lie and say I'm not anxious to share with everyone the new aspects of myself and some more mature aspects that I will be taking on." She laughs "I mean...I can't compete with Issac and Devon - I can not even park at that field, much less play ball there, but I am super excited to finally start coming into myself with the help of this really cute guy I know..." She crinkles her nose and winks "What about you Ran? Is there anything particular that you are looking forward to or feeling nervous about? Can we share any fun tidbits with the class?" She waggles brows

Ran: He nods as she talks, scratching the back of his head some "Uh, well I don't remember hardly anything about what happened with me before we came back. I mean, after the big accident, I woke up in the hospital with retrograde amnesia. It was sucky at first. I hated it. I kind of still do. But as I've learned thanks to a few certain people in my life," He pauses and looks at her, smiling softly "It's okay that I don't remember everything. I'm figuring out who I am and who I used to be as I go, y'know? As far as overall plots on the board, I'm excited about when I finally get my memories back, if I do, but I know that it's going to be the source of a lot of heartache with people." He pauses, then gently taps Tillie's shoulder "Oh! Have you heard about those crazy string of murders going on? What the hell is up with that?!"

Tillie:  She leans forward and brushes hair away from Ran's forehead and smiles before rubbing her hands against her shoulders "I wish I paid more attention to the local news so that I could be more informed, but apparently there is a mystery individual on the loose and pretty much any one could be in danger of falling victim to their sinister plans. If nothing is resolved soon, I think that it might be a good idea for everyone to run on a standard curfew. You never know what the people of Crimson Kiss are capable of..." She shutters "Let's change the topic before I get too nervous. So...You are still recovering a little - everything is the same and yet it's new and a little frustrating, but I have to know...how is it living with Kia and Kodi? That has to be worth a good story or two."

Ran:  He laughs outright, reaching out to take her hand and grasp it in his own "Oh trust me when I say it's not picnic. Kia is one God awful slave driver! Like, I can't help but wonder if this kinda thing happened before I lost my memories or if she's trying doubly hard just so I don't feel out of place and awkward. Kodi is my cousin, he's like my brother, but I feel bad that he sometimes has to hold back. His family doesn't really mesh well with him. Or, rather, his dad doesn't. At least that's what he tells me." He shrugs "I don't know. Though there was this one time at breakfast the other day where Kia threw the lid from the skillet she was using to cover the bacon at Kodi for nagging her about something. Or was I nagging her about something?" He chuckles "She's just so...easy to be around like that. I dunno. What about things with you and the girls? What's going on with them? Have any of your relationships changed since we came back?"

Tillie: She raises his hand to brush against her cheek as he speaks, eyes lighting up as he laughs "Aw man..." She shakes her head as she lightly laughs "I feel like everything in my life has changed, but nothing so much so as with the girls. Sometimes we are all spot on, and it's almost like last year happened, but to a different set of people and then other times..." She shrugs softly as words trail off "I feel like there are days when we are so strong in one another that nothing could break us - then there are days where we struggle, but as always there is nothing that can come between us. Life happens like that sometimes." She looks up at him and laughs "So how was yoga?"

Ran: He snorts "God, don't even get me started on yoga. I can't believe Kia roped me into that. And Evey better be lucky we're friends or else I would never be able to live with myself. I don't care what girl tries to convince a guy that it's a good way to score going to a yoga class, but I will tell any guy that it's all lies." He points "Don't fall for it!" He shakes his head and laughs "So, Tills? Anything about yourself that you find particularly interesting? What about uninteresting? In fact, let's just go on and talk smack about everyone." He laughs "But for real, which characters on the site stick out to you the most and why?"

Tillie: She sniffs and drops hand "Well I think I now officially hate yoga classes. -laughs and runs fingers through her hair - Its really hard to just pinpoint one character out of so many. Obviously I am going to be drawn to the drama that surrounds my own personal clique, and of course everything that the new line of BRATS are going holds a particular appeal for me. Gosh..." She laughs again and hides her face "I feel like I am so conceited right now. Is it horrible to say that really only one person in particular takes the majority of my attention?" She blushes and laughs heartily "How about you wolf boy? What characters stick out to you and why?"

Ran: "There you go again with that wolf boy business." He shakes his head some "Well, as far as which characters stick out to me the most, I'd have to say the Bass brothers. I mean, that whole family is so screwed up in its own way, but the brothers are something else. I mean, how do you go eighteen years without knowing each other and then be able to talk the way they do, y'know? I mean, it's almost unheard of, especially since they apparently fought a lot in the beginning." He shrugs "I guess their mutual hatred for their dad helped bring them closer, and that's actually kinda sad. But, I mean, I can kinda sorta relate in a way." He clears his throat some "Well, anything else we missed? Or you think we should just leave it at that and keep them guessing?"

Tillie: She laughs and shakes her head "They are quite an interesting pair, but really when it comes to all of our favorite lovelies - who does not have some screwed up nonsense behind a curtain? I personally really love that they come together, I mean it's good for Chuck - which means it's good for Aubrey - which means it's good for everyone. I'm interested to see what the two Bass brothers can accomplish together." She ponders and taps her chin with her fingers "I think that they have had enough for now...unless..." She wiggles her brows "You want to give them something interesting to look forward to in the not so distant future...like a sneak peek." She giggles "Comparable to your paws off panties only in word form."

Ran: "I'm looking forward to it too." He grins and leans forward, kissing her cheek with a loud smack-pop "I think the only thing I can really say is everyone better keep a look out in the CK Jitney! A little train ride will be coming soon." He waves "Until next time!"

Tillie: She blushes and throws up her hands "Train rides are always exciting! See you guys next edition!"

Wicked Zahir

A Prank For Some Laughs

Slumped in his seat, with his eyes closed, Wicked didn’t know why he was here in class in the first place. My god how he wished summer was back. The warm months of doing whatever the hell he wanted and whenever he wanted were gone and there was a deep ache in his body for them to return. School had only started two weeks ago and already he had a record breaking ditch amount. Normally people would believe this would make him an idiot, but they would be sorely wrong. His grades were impeccable and he made sure to keep his GPA up on the top end of the scale. He just knew what others didn’t know. Being in class, listening to a boring teacher, and letting them sprout off things for over an hour really did nothing but grow boredom in the minds of the students. In the end, even after all that talking, nothing stuck and the students were looking up answers in their textbooks and online for the homework assignments anyway. So what had the teacher accomplished within that hour? That’s right. Absolutely nothing. Time was a precious thing when you were young. He could still remember coming into the high school as a lowly freshman, though lowly probably wasn’t the right term, and now he was suddenly a senior with college acceptance letters about to come in.


WHY: Ah, one of the many resident bad boys of CK High. But to make things even juicier, Wicked is the current leader of The Brew Crew and we can kind of understand why. His demeanor is clearly that of a leader and while he may hate the responsibilities that might come with it - despite his distaste for wanting to take orders. But while that is all said and done, we can clearly enjoy this well-played inner monologue that helps us glimpse into the psyche of this character. Congratulations, Wicked!

Sinners & Saints Masquerade

Music resonated through the night air as anonymous and scantily clad Sinners and Saints began to fill up the two bordering properties. Security was tight, and though it was inevitable to cease all forms of uninvited entrance, for the most part they were secure and safe from any undesirables. Jonah had even mentioned something about the Police being paid off to avoid the area, which eliminated that concern. Thoroughly, Aubrey was pleased with Jonah, Evan, Sonny, and herself for their impeccable party theme. No one could resist a Sinner and Saint ball; especially when there was little clothing involved. - Aubrey

"There," After some time and a few difficulties, Tillie glanced up, green and blue hues scanning the floor for her matching heel before flipping around to drag herself across the carpet. "Stripper heel...ohhh stripper heel where are yooouu? Can't make money if you do not come out, now can we?" Tillie sang out her words rather loudly, though she seemed quiet enough to herself. The shoe was thwarting her plans for the evening and was proving to be an evil genius in disguise, keeping her from her party. - Tillie

Smiling and greeting those who had bothered to do the same with her, she made her way over to where the makeshift bar was and began to prepare herself a drink. She was more of a cocktail sort of girl when it was allowed - especially at functions such as these. Who would ever suspect that the designer and novelist's first love was a Corona with lime or a classic Rum and Coke? As she sipped her drink, she brushed her dark locks out of her eyes and enjoyed herself. - Devon

He allowed his lean body to lean against the bar, Issac noticed a rather clothed girl with a robe. A robe? Issac shook his head and laughed, his dimples pushing forth as he did so. As the bartender slid him a drink, he tipped his head in her general direction, fingers playing with the string that kept her body hidden. Issac caught a glimpse of something in the cup of her bra, and idly slid a finger to pluck whatever it was out. A business card? Who the hell bought business cards to a party where a bunch of drunken college kids were? He took another long sip of his drink and leaned forward so his lips were against the point where her jaw slid back to her ear. “I’m much more interested in taking these off then learning about them.” He nipped at the spot where his lips had just been. - Issac

He knocked on the door twice. "Tills? You there?" He heard mewlings on the other side and chuckled, shaking his head. "It's me. I'm coming in so I hope you're ready." And as he opened the door, he was given a surprise sight of not only various sorts of lingerie strewn about the room - but a slightly wobbling Tillie crawling around on her hands and knees searching for something under her bed. Her rear end was up for all the world to see and he found a carnal wolf threatening to burst forth from his body. Slowly, he set the bike helmet down on the nearby dresser and slipped out of his riding jacket - his bare chest completely exposed as some hungry animal clawed to the surface of his hazel orbs. - Ran

Already she could hear the music take off in flight as she put her lipstick on. She loved her vanity. It had various little perfume bottles and make up stuff. The seat was comfortable and every night before bed she brushed her hair one hundred times. A small smirk fell over her pink stained lips as she heard a few people already starting up. - Sonny

Making rounds through the kitchen to grab a beer from one of the many buckets. Shoulder daps to Mark, a fellow student that was in one of his acting classes. "Sup man. Glad you could come." Mark replied back and still Jonah moved on to roam about the house. The music was going and he had to make his way over to the girls. Aubrey always hid a special drink just for him, and he was about getting that. - Jonah

He grabbed a lolli pop out of one of the treat bowls and stripped it from the wrapper, tossing it into the trash and popping it into his mouth. His cheek held the sweet taste and he swallowed the juice on occasion. He needed a drink, but he'd have to have something stiff and strong. Jack. Bourbon. Something. Hell, he'd even settle for Southern Comfort for the time being. - Jonathan

With a grin he snuck up behind her just as she stepped down on the main floor, his lips hovering close to her ear as his hands slipped up her shoulders and held her still. “Interested in corrupting a Saint?” Avery grinned to himself as fingers gave her flesh a gentle little squeeze, his mission forgotten with her presence. - Avery

"Listen. When you see him, I want you to make sure everything goes according to plan." He told her in his suave Bassian voice. Low, raspy, enticing. "Make sure he does it. Make sure he sees them." The girl on the other end was incredibly jumpy for the role of trouble maker, but Chuck was compensating her quite well. He just hoped Aubrey and the girls wouldn't be mad at him for these upcoming antics. But he had to do it. He just had to. - Chuck

As a musician John had developed a taste to learn all instruments. He was good at many of them, some he was trying to learn even more, conquer them. He wanted to read and write music. Eat it, sleep it. It was his whole world. Of course he wasn't so absorbed in it as many would think, but he knew his stuff and he made it through life "normal." - John

He was going to party and get his freak on with someone while getting plastered while at it. He shuffled over to his night stand and pulled out a silver case. Under the casing back was a small rectangular vile that melded in with secrecy perfectly. He had been saving this for a special occasion, and since he was living right next door to her, with special requests of course, he spread the white substance out on a hand mirror, lining it up and taking it up both nostrils. Sniffing it up. Wiping his nose and then again until the line was gone. He had some more left, he'd save it for later. Just in case. - Evan

Her skin tingled slightly as someone approached her from behind, two heavy hands brushing up the exposed flesh of her back before settling on her shoulders, pinning her in place. She felt a pair of soft lips settle near her ear, his breath playing softly against the tender part of her skin beneath her earlobe. Her lids fluttered close, her breath hitching in her throat as she envisioned a pair of baby blue eyes at first, but the spellbinding voice that followed did not match the face in her mind. - Evey 

[/b] This is the highlight of the board these days! The infamous Sinners & Saints Masquerade party. While we can say that this thread has taken flight in an interesting way, we at the Journal are glad to see that a lot of the kids are genuinely having a good time. There are still a few more party goers who still have yet to arrive, but with mischief ever brewing we know that there is still much to come. Congratulations everyone!

The Revamp Hiatus is over! Everyone should be excited to know that we have now moved on to the Fall season, it is a great pleasure for me to say that all of the new plots going on is a bit of a thrill. Everyone keep on posting and being active and look forward to all the new changes on the board! 

There's A Killer on the Loose!
The killings have begun! As if things haven't gotten complicated enough in this small city, Crimson Kiss has its very own psychopathic serial killer. He's got a reputation to uphold now that he's in a new city with fresh flesh to carve into. No one is safe, but no one is certainly above the law. A bit of advice? Never EVER wander the streets alone...

We are now in the month of August and in full swing no less! Skins, forum image headers, and sub-forums out the wazoo! We are still welcoming back not only old players, but new ones as well! The old characters are back, in action, and ready to stir up some trouble. But there are new faces as well! Staff has been switched around, changed hands, and we are looking forward to a new RP experience with all of you! So, again, WELCOME BACK!

• CKH CALENDAR - We are reminding everyone on the board who decides to start new threads to please follow the new calendar guideline as mentioned here. The current time frame for the board is July to September. Please keep this in mind for all future threads made.
• CHARACTERS - Okay, so until further notice, all new characters who are applying to be students at CK University will have to be classed as a Freshman! Also, we are putting a limit on character creations for those who have more than four characters to cut down on overall swell in our registry. If you have a slew of characters who are not being played, it is just a waste, don't you think?
• CK HANDBOOK - The handbook for CKH & CKU has been upgraded! You can read the official new handbook here! Please, as a personal request from staff, we ask that everyone please read all announcements posted both in the CK Journal and in the updates section. Thanks guys!

• MONEY - The money system is currently being revamped so until then, the store is still under construction. However, please continue posting. The CKJ is keeping up with all of your posts and are going to reward everyone accordingly when the time comes. Be on the lookout for it!

This week....

This is Your Life!

Tillie is...well, she's Tillie. I don't really know how else to describe her. She has always been a rather big part of Ran's life in regards to their friendship, but it isn't something I can really touch. After all, his friendship with me is on a completely different level altogether. But she is good for Ran, this much I do know. While I have never been too overly keen on the friends that she grew up around, I will not fault her for their life choices. She's good to my best friend and is, overall, a truly loving and caring person. That's all that really matters at the end of the day. - Kia Luxin

Ran's my best friend and someone I can truly depend on. We have been there for each other through thick and thin and he is like a brother to me. Regardless of the crap that has happened to him recently, I know that he has taken it with a kind of stride that I can't even really understand. But the road is going to get harder for him before it finally gets better, I just can feel it. Whatever it may be, though, I'm going to stand by him. He keeps a lot of things bottled up inside of him. Things that he feels he can't really talk about. But in time, he'll get by. He always does. - Kodi Sangras

His suite at the Resort of Pelican Hill was a nice one. Nice enough for him to stay for a few days, but nothing like the villa he would have ready for him by his dear grandfather. Augustus, he was such a nice bloke. He could never fault him for anything and despite Devon's repeated attempts to keep Riley at bay, Augustus would have none of it. The old man was no fool. He knew that Riley was the only one who could keep a leash on his ever rebellious granddaughter. It was the only way that he could keep her from doing something utterly foolish.

...like dating some foolish playboy who had a rather devious reputation in certain circles.

Biting the inside of his jaw, he parked his car and made sure that Rose was alright before helping her out of the car. Parking and leading her to the front entrance, Riley led her to the elevator and asked if she was comfortable. They chatted about a few mundane things here and there. Things of no real consequence, but interesting enough to keep him focused on that lovely mouth of hers. The way that the buds on her visage were full and animated, spilling that adoring Brighton accent of hers. Riley wondered absentmindedly how they would form with two of his fingers slipped between said buds. 

WHY: While we have seen Riley display his strangeness and charm many times over in previous threads, this is actually one of the few times where we see him begin the intricate weaving of his own devious webs. “Bartender! Strongest Drink You Can Make! I Want To Get So Drunk That The Only Way I’m Going Home Tonight Is In A Wheelbarrow!” Nothing ends a good day better than a really strong drink. It was his reward for a job well done. He managed to make a profit from it as well, so a little splurging was allowed. He was sporting a plain white shirt that contrasted well with his black jacket and his dark jeans. He looked at his watch noting the time out of habit. It wasn’t like he was in a rush. He had plenty of time to kill before his late night rendezvous. He would have hit the bookstore to rack in some hours for his part time job, but that place was so quiet on most days, he’d want to find a way to kill time from that place. - Azoth

“Two Irish Car Bombs if you know what’s good for you!” Issac’s voice was loud and course as he slammed the shot glasses down against the bar top with force. The boy was looking to get beyond hammered tonight, waste away his last bits of sadness that sex with Devon or having Rose strip him down and take care of him could wash away. The boy needed to get plastered. And plastered he would get. Issac tossed back the third jagerbomb of the evening and grimaced and let out a loud hoot. It’d been quite some time since the boy had truly gotten plastered. Okay, well maybe a three months. And only three or four weeks after the Saints and Sinners little masquerade that had led him straight to Devon O’Brien. - Issac

On alert, Aubrey turned toward the familiar and yet disrupted tones that called out over the basic chaos and noise. Gold – shot umber hues widened with excitement as her sights set on strong features. A shiver ran down her spine, prompting her approach. It was not her Iven, but on a night like tonight, with her mood elevated and her desires spread toward mischief making, Issac was a welcomed site. “Oh lady luck.” Whispered words for only herself to hear, Aubrey approached, her hand reaching out to let fingers tap against the bar. “Three more.” - Aubrey

WHY: This thread has been in our sites for quite awhile, but we have merely been biding our time. These three are truly something else and set up quite the scene for the three characters. While we have always had a good grip on Aubrey's character, we were still skating around Issac's character. But we, without a doubt, had no clue what to expect with Azoth. But we have a pretty good grasp of him now, or do we? We love the banter and overall interactions between these three and cannot wait for continuous shenanigans to unfold. Congratulations you three!

The Revamp Hiatus is over! Everyone should be excited to know that we have now moved on to the Fall season, it is a great pleasure for me to say that all of the new plots going on is a bit of a thrill. Everyone keep on posting and being active and look forward to all the new changes on the board! 

There's A Killer on the Loose!
The killings have begun! As if things haven't gotten complicated enough in this small city, Crimson Kiss has its very own psychopathic serial killer. He's got a reputation to uphold now that he's in a new city with fresh flesh to carve into. No one is safe, but no one is certainly above the law. A bit of advice? Never EVER wander the streets alone...

We are now in the month of August and in full swing no less! Skins, forum image headers, and sub-forums out the wazoo! We are still welcoming back not only old players, but new ones as well! The old characters are back, in action, and ready to stir up some trouble. But there are new faces as well! Staff has been switched around, changed hands, and we are looking forward to a new RP experience with all of you! So, again, WELCOME BACK!

• CKH CALENDAR - We are reminding everyone on the board who decides to start new threads to please follow the new calendar guideline as mentioned here. The current time frame for the board is July to September. Please keep this in mind for all future threads made.
• CHARACTERS - Okay, so until further notice, all new characters who are applying to be students at CK University will have to be classed as a Freshman! Also, we are putting a limit on character creations for those who have more than four characters to cut down on overall swell in our registry. If you have a slew of characters who are not being played, it is just a waste, don't you think?
• CK HANDBOOK - The handbook for CKH & CKU has been upgraded! You can read the official new handbook here! Please, as a personal request from staff, we ask that everyone please read all announcements posted both in the CK Journal and in the updates section. Thanks guys!

• MONEY - The money system has been fixed thanks to some diligent coding fixes for the plugin from our tech staff.
  

• MEMBER PROFILES - This is a last reminder for all players that they each have their own Member Profile sub-boards in the About Me section of the OOC Forum. Here you can place your own personal profile about you, the writer, as well as thread trackers to keep up with all those threads and posts that you are working on! Be sure to post up your absence thread, titling it "REGARDING YOURNAMEORALIASHERE" so we can keep track of your activity. If you need to be placed on Leave of Absence (LOA), or will be less active during the week for reasons, be sure to post here so we don't freak out and worry about where you are for the board is July to September. Issac Buckley

Where Do I Even Start

Issac was a love struck boy. He couldn’t remember the last time he had felt this genuinely happy, without the feelings of self doubt, and slight rejection. He was damn well aware of the source as well. She was of average height with silk smooth skin that glowed at his touch. Her hair was a mixture of light mahogany and touches of blonde in some light. Her nose crinkled as she laughed, and what a laugh it was. The way they were equals to other. No one held more power than the other. How she laughed at his jokes that were obviously not funny, and casually slipped her hand into his and gave him a reassuring squeeze. Not to mention the physical chemistry between them was magnetic if not dangerous. However, what Issac Alexander Buckley had fallen in love with, were the little things about Devon O’Brien. The fact that she never didn’t wear heels nearly all the time they were together. How her eyes lit up at the talk of her work, something she was truly passionate about. How whenever a storm rolled in through Crimson Kiss while they were together, she let him hold her in the silence. Not an awkward silence between the two, but something romantic and intimate. Devon O’Brien had captured his heart in a matter of weeks, and it drove him mad.


WHY: Issac is one of two Buckley's that have taken CKH & CKU by storm. We have seen him play the asshole, the hottie, and now we see him playing romantic boyfriend! Who would have thought, right? Well, this post does a great job showcasing the changes that Issac has made since his creation on the board. While the thread has just begun, we are looking forward to seeing just how much Issac has changed. Congratulations Issac!

Closing Time

Grabbing up the orders, Bianca quickly made her way to table four and gave them their orders. The other waitress, Jessica, smiled and casually whispered gossip about how a young group of men at table six were eyeing Switch curiously. She wasn't surprised. Her ethnic background was sort of a mystery and a lot of people found it strange that she, despite coming from Mexico, had Irish roots as well. Then again, did Irish people all have to have freckles, ginger hair and green eyes? Did they all have to have dark hair, pale skin and blue eyes? According to most, yes. Bianca was (as Jess had so eloquently put it) a "rare breed." - Bianca

Blue hues lifted up to see a familiar face, dark brunette hair tumbling down to frame exotic features. A breath of air was sucked through gritted teeth – something about brunettes just did it for him. His hand raised upward in a show of acknowledgement before feet lead him to a private booth in the corner. Slipping in he once again pulled out him phone, shooting a text to Evan.  - Avery

She crossed over to where her customer was from the kitchen, Bianca placed the items on the table - pushing the tray toward him some. Sliding into the seat across from him, Bianca pushed some of her hair out of her eyes. "Now, with it being so late and all, figured I'd start you off with a Jack and Coke. Also nabbed some good stuff for you to sample on. The Seafood Chowder is my favorite to start off with," she said, picking up a spoon and digging in a little before dipping the spoon back in and holding it out for him, making a motion for him to open wide. - Bianca

His cute little waitress was quickly approaching, a large tray balanced impressively as she weaved in and out through tables. Avery tilted his head to the side, a lop-sided grin perking up lips as hands raised up to silently applaud her efforts. As the tray slid on the table, a surprised glint flicked through cerulean hues as she followed suit and slid in as well. Avery’s grin widened as he scooted forward, watching fingers brush hair away from her eyes. It was cute when girls did that, but he had never understood why. - Avery

[/b] Who could have imagined that Avery Marshall, after returning home from overseas, would be so eagerly making his way out and about without the rest of the infamous Breakfast Club? Well, it happened, ladies and gentleman. And stranger still? Bianca Alvarez, the leader of NOIR - CK High's resident badasses - is waiting tables and doesn't seem to be able to place who Avery is. The exchanges between these two is cute, fun and just overall pleasant to read. Yet we can't help but hold our breaths in anticipation because as a new game is afoot, what will the reactions be when they discover just why they are so familiar to each other? Congratulations Bianca and Avery!

It is a new month and so many things have happened in such a short amount of time! Already we are about to start September. So, without further ado, the MOTMs for the month of August are Devon O'Brien & Issac Buckley! From Editor in Chief: Devon and Issac, both new characters to the board, but they have wasted no time to take the initiative and have hit CKH & CKU without fail! They have not only been active on the board as players, but they have continuously surprised us over and over again with each new thread they have created, as well as the inner musings in each of their posts. Rose Decumbry

Since I Was 17

The level of yelling had risen to an almost unbearable level, even Devlyn poking her head up. The dark ears contrasted beautifully to the ivory fur of her head as well as the crystal blue pools that always seemed to know the things Rose was not saying. Silly felines. “Oui, I’m goin’ alre’dy.”

It didn’t take her long to slip from the dressing gown she had been moping in, into a pair of spankie shorts, sports bra, a large sweatshirt that belonged to one of the Twins ( her hopes were that it wasn’t Issac’s, she’d hate to give it back ) and slipped on running sneakers. However, a run wasn’t her destined place of peace and solace. No. Rose would only find that peace if she returned to where her roots were. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a high ponytail, and she had lifted the hood so that her face would go unrecognized as she left Edgmontte Towers. Even as she poked her head outside the window of her balcony, Rose could see several photographers with a camera poised and ready to shoot. Greedy little bastards. Well the front door was certainly out of the choices of ways to leave. Rose’s lips twitched and she looked back to Devlyn.

“Should I do it?”

The cat cocked its head in her direction. That was the only answer she needed. “Yes...Front desk, I’d like for you to inform the cameramen outside, that I will be leaving the back entrance…...Yes, the parking garage. Thank you so much!” Her tone was genuinely pleasant. Though it wasn’t exactly Blue Blood style, or even in the ritziest part of Crimson Kiss, Rose wouldn’t want to be living anywhere else than Edmontte Towers.

As the manager on desk had walked out to the awaiting cameraman, Rose allowed herself to really smile since her incident. She had ignored the split lip and bolted for the front door the moment the last man had disappeared. There wasn’t exactly a need for her to take her car, seeing as how the jog to the other side of Downtown would be her warm up. Though in reality, it would be nowhere near as vigorous as what she was used to. The cold air was a wake up call to her legs, only pushing her to make it to the old gym on the outskirts time in a faster time.


WHY: Rose is a character that we have all come to know and love in her various forms. But importantly, we love the depth of her character and the musings that she has inside of her. A lot has happened to this little flower, a lot of things most people would not be able to bounce back from. But she has decided that she's had enough of moping around and is going to go clear her head - to fully figure herself out. It is because of this that we were able to truly enjoy this post for what it is. Congratulations, Rose!

Riley Finnegan & Aubrey Mayor

Maddening Shroud

Riley stumbled out of bed, his phone gripped tightly in his hand as he staggered to his bedroom door. He didn't care that he was traipsing across glass and cutting into the bottoms of his feet. He didn't care that he was leaving a trail of blood in his wake as he moved down the hall on the second floor to the grand staircase made of fine marble. There was a draft in the main entrance hall and when he felt the cold wind brushing up against him, Riley feared that the furnishings would begin lifting themselves off the ground and attempt to barrel into him. The banging reverberated across the foyer and he listlessly muttered to himself about the acoustics being too good here before his fingers finally managed to find the handle to the door.

Throwing it open, he saw Aubrey on the other side and he honestly didn't know how he looked. He didn't care. His eyes were most likely bloodshot from having just woken up and he needed to wash his feet. "Hello, lass," he murmured, rubbing a fist into his eye as he let her in. "Make yourself comfortable. Don't mind the blood, but watch your step, aye?" He said it like it was nothing, making his way to the kitchen. He could only assume that Aubrey would follow. - Riley

What an awkward question to ask while picking particles from bloody flesh. Aubrey was momentarily distracted from why she was there in the first place, and briefly inquires on Rose and the Buckley brothers were dismissed as a huffed slipped through parted lips. “Stop.” Aubrey Moved even closer still, hip brushing against his legs as her hands swatted his away. “Your angle is all wrong.”

First Aubrey reached up and killed the flow of water. The towel was already wet so she was able to clean away the flecks of blood that had attempted to dry against his skin, but the running stream would interfere with pulling out the glass. Aubrey stood quietly, fingers gently digging foreign pieces from flesh in small pieces at a time. This was a familiar act, though usually it was Evan or Jonah – sometimes both – sitting still under her caressing fingers as she tended wounds.

“Something interesting was shared with me today.” Words slipped out softly, all her concentration focused on his open wounds, disregarding the blood that stained her fingers. “I would hope, if nothing else, we have a mutual understanding between one another and are more evolved than resorting to playing word games and cutting thin lines between lies and truths.” Feeling confident that she had successfully removed all glass from his right foot, fingers patted the left in order to prompt him to lift it up for her.  - Aubrey

Ah, the details. His eyes fell half-lidded as he jutted his chin toward the half bath around the entry way to expansive living room just a few feet away. Riley watched her go fetch the First Aid kit, all the while figuring out how he would go about relaying this tale. Devon had slipped up. She had not asked for the details like she normally did. Her thoughts so preoccupied from running away from him and into the arms of her...lover...had made her sloppy in her inquiry to the lovely Miss Decumbry's overall state of well being.

Upon Aubrey's return, he swung his legs up so that he was seated with his feet exposed along the counter - giving her easy access to place whatever salves, ointments and bandages she needed on his feet. "Well, I was out having a few drinks - hit a club or two in this place - it's no Dublin, I'll tell yeh that - and I was getting ready to go home. I was at least halfway sobered up and to us Irish, that's enough to get a bloke home." Wiggling his toes some, he rest his elbows along his knees, moving his cheek to fall along the skin of his forearm. "I was headin' to me car when I heard this scream. And I'm talkin' bloody murder sorta screamin', got it? I couldn't just go home in good faith after hearin' somethin like that." - Riley

[/b] It truly was only a matter of time before these two characters' paths crossed. Be it for whatever reasons, we can see that these two's relationship is more than mere acquaintances but not quite close friends. While Aubrey is there to question the significance to Riley's involvement with Rose, Riley is dealing with his own inner demons - something that we, the readers, were able to fully enjoy. Clearly there are more layers beneath that smile than any of us could even fathom. Though this thread is in its budding stages, we are looking forward to seeing just not only the interactions between Aubrey and Riley, but what their plans will be regarding their relationship and those involved will entail! Congratulations Riley and Aubrey!
